Thank you! I'm so interested in the idea of these two meeting again after all the suffering their family has been through, especially after the Red Wedding. I can't see them ever really having AFFECTION, but I do think they would have been too tired of fighting against those who really wish them ill to have active resentment. I feel like it would have been enough that they loved the same people, even if they never loved each other, for them to have a sort of...grudging peace.
Catelyn's resentment of Jon is certainly a fault of hers, and it definitely isn't fair. However, I understand where her feelings come from and even why she chose to take out her feelings on Jon rather than on Ned. Again - not fair or right, but I do get it, and I hate when some fans blow what their relationship was out of proportion. (Also, in rereading I have to admit that I found Jon pretty annoying in Game of Thrones, especially up until he met Sam (really, Jon, you asked Tyrion what he knows about being a bastard aka feeling like an outcast? and you asked WHY HE READS? and you called a seven year old insipid?) XD)
I love Jon's steadfast response to Stannis's offer - "Winterfell belongs to my sister Sansa." And I do think he would feel some sort of obligation to help her, not because of any affection towards her, but again, because of his affection for the people that they both loved and who loved both of them. I really miss Cat and her POV chapters. :(
