I JUST DID SOME SERIOUS UGLY CRYING. JUST SO YOU KNOW.
Omg this was so beautiful and saaaaad and exactly what I wanted it to be. I loved Sansa's relief that Osha was staying because she's really the only family Rickon knows, she's just the 'stranger in the blue dress.' I especially loved this line: At first she told herself that it was for the connection that the woman forged between the gentle past that she barely remembered, the events transpiring between her girlhood and flight into darkness (and out again). It flows so beautifully and sums up Sansa's journey so well.
I didn't think of Sansa going down to visit the crypt and it was SO SO SO PERFECT, her thoughts were so poignant about how it was Ned and Catelyn and Robb, but not really, they were so much more than what stone could portray (and echoes beautifully with Rickon's 'They're just made of stone.') (BTW Sansa visiting the crypts is when I tried to hold back the ugly!crying and then the torrent unleashed when she found Rickon curled up on front.) Rickon in front of the tombs KILLED ME, and omg, Sansa telling Rickon that him and Bran were brave. <33333
Rickon is just so young when everything in his world goes to hell, at least the others will be able to remember happy-Stark-family-times. So I especially loved that this ended up on a hopeful note, that they have each other now.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE WONDERFUL FILL, GOTTA GO BLOW MY NOSE NOW.
