This is amazing -- and I love that you ended it on such a hopeful note. (And because it's Stannis, you have faith that he will.)
I love how miserable Stannis is, actually -- he doesn't really want to be king at all, it's just his duty so he'll do it. He doesn't expect (or even want) to be loved, which is why this pairing might actually work out for them.
