Comment fic meme #5

I hope everyone isn't too busy with the porn battle for the post-exchange comment fic meme. As usual, I would very much appreciate if you could help spread the word about this meme on LJ or tumblr or wherever - the more people know about this, the more prompts and fills there are. :)

The rules are the same as always:

- please include the pairing/character (and maybe a short prompt/kink) in the comment title - both for prompts and for fills.
- there are both show and book fans in this community, so please warn for book spoilers beyond ACOK in the comment title. Please also warn for non-con, violence etc.
- anonymous comments are enabled, but I'd appreciate if we kept them to a minimum. If you absolutely want to go anon, okay, but I'd rather we kept this as non-anonymous as possible.
- all prompts are welcome: smut, gen, romance, crack, fluff, angst, het, slash, femslash ... anything goes.
- be civil, no character/pairing bashing, no kink shaming etc.
- please don't derail other people's prompts with comments like "I think this would be better if it was about a different character" or the like. Post your own prompt.

It's perfectly fine to reprompt ideas from the previous comment fic memes, the exchange or other kink memes. If you missed the previous fic memes, you can find the masterlists here: #1, #2, #3, #4. (Make sure you don't accidentally post new prompts over there, nobody will see them.)

As with any kink meme, this is only fun if people also fill prompts, not if there are only requests.

Filled prompts:
Catelyn & Lysa: The Tully Girl Who Mattered
Petyr/Sansa: scar kink
Victarion/Asha: Coming home
Stannis/Jon: Scars
Jon/Sansa: Jon as step-father (or father-like figure) to Sansa's children.
Sansa/Oberyn: anything that involves the water gardens.
Petyr/Sansa: Modern AU
Arya, Bran: The Race (Brothers and sisters are as close as hands and feet.)
Victarion/Asha: Practicality
Selyse/Stannis, Shireen: Victorious
Sansa/Oberyn: Five Gifts
Stannis/Jon: In the Skin
Sandor & Arya: Long Road Home
Sandor/Sansa: Daddy in Charge (Sandor babysitting his kids)

Multiple fills are of course welcome.

Victarion/Asha

Beard porn. Canonically Asha prefers her men clean-shaven, so I guess Victarion must be doing something right to get away with the beard. ;) IDEK, I just want Greyjoy porn.

Re: Petyr/Sansa

(English is not my first language, sorry!)

There is a large scar on Petyr’s lower back. When Sansa saw it the first time, she was too afraid to point it out; she let her mind wonder when he got it, silently hoping it was from a battle in which Petyr fought and won with honor.
Sansa is a grown woman, now. She traces the scar with her lips and bites the skin around it with her sharp teeth like Petyr told her to do – master, lover, what was the difference anyway?
“It’s an old scar, Sansa,” he whispers, moaning. “I was playing with your mother, she battered me. We were bickering about some nonsense, then I fell down and hit my back on a rock.” Sansa stands up and rests her head on Petyr’s chest.
He snickers. “As they say, I lost the battle but I won the war.”

He snickers. “Like they say, I lost the battle but I won the war.”

Re: Aegon I./Orys Baratheon

[identity profile] outboxed.livejournal.com 2013-01-24 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Ugh, no, Linn, no. I don't need to write more of this ship. I just- there is something amazing about Aegon making Orys his Hand because it's not a pre-existing role, right? Or if it's a pre-existing Westerosi custom or a position with a counterpart in Old Valyrian rulership systems, it's one Aegon could do away with or not choose to bring back. And he chooses ORYS. His brother. His shield, his stalwart, his strong right-hand. Oh goddd. There is so much room for this to be gorgeous and intimate and beautiful.

Sansa/Brienne (AFFC spoilers)

Because Brienne is the True Knight Sansa always dreamed of.
(future fic set after Brienne found Sansa?)

Re: Aegon I./Orys Baratheon

[identity profile] linndechir.livejournal.com 2013-01-24 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
You got that wrong, bro, you DO need to write more of this ship. :P It would make sense to me that Aegon made up that role (and to give it such an awesome name, I mean, basically considering another person part of his body and his will), because this is the guy who basically went like "lol Imma gonna marry both my sisters and conquer a hugeass continent because I got bored on Dragonstone". And he seems to have no problem sharing his power, considering that he had two queens and didn't mind sharing his rule with them either.

Also, I'm pretty sure part of the reason he did that was to keep Orys close, by his side in King's Landing rather than away in Storm's End. Not that distances are a big problem when you have a dragon, but it would have seemed odd for the king to fly to Storm's End every other day.

AND AEGON DECIDED THAT THE HAND IS THE ONLY OTHER PERSON TO BE ALLOWED TO SIT ON THE THRONE HE DECIDED THAT ORYS COULD SIT ON THE FUCKING IRON THRONE. He basically said "hey bro, my realm belongs (almost) as much to you as to me".

Re: Stannis/Davos

[identity profile] outboxed.livejournal.com 2013-01-24 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
COCKY DAVOS IS THE WORST. He's still really blunt but he's got swagger and he doesn't give a fuck what any of the highborn assholes think - except Stannis and, well, that's a whole different story, that is, and that's the one thing that checks him a little. UGH, I WANT ALL THE COCKY JUST-KNIGHTED DAVOS. Can you imagine his reaction to all the petty little poshboy knights? Hhey'd ask him how on earth he got his knighthood and he'd say he'd wager his way was the more noble for all their fine words. And they'd get all pissy with him - and then, just then, when he was thinking picking a fight here might've been foolish, he'd catch Stannis' eye and see that he approved and then just not give a shit about making a scene.

Re: Stannis/Davos

[identity profile] linndechir.livejournal.com 2013-01-24 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
There just aren't enough fics about how these two slowly fell in love became so close. Davos is an observant guy, it would probably take him about two days to realise that Stannis hates everybody around him. And while book!Davos is kinda more polite and more careful, younger Davos who has no idea how court works really wouldn't mince his words, not the way Stannis would encourage him to speak his mind.

Re: Aegon I./Orys Baratheon

[identity profile] outboxed.livejournal.com 2013-01-24 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I know I do but, Linn, why do you do this to me? Why do you make me ship these beautiful things?

I can absolutely see Aegon making the position just for Orys - because he wants to give Orys a position that is (at least) equal to his sisters', that acknowledges Orys' contribution to conquest and rule, and, yeah, which enables him to sit the Iron Throne and be symbolically a part of and an extension of Aegon, as king. Aaah. And, yes, of course he wanted to keep Orys close. Ugh. Glorious.

Re: Aegon I./Orys Baratheon

[identity profile] linndechir.livejournal.com 2013-01-24 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
So you write fic about them, obviously. What do you think? ;)

because he wants to give Orys a position that is (at least) equal to his sisters'
Thanks for the cracky mental image of Aegon suggesting that he could just marry Orys, too, and Visenya being all "no you don't". But nope, Aegon clearly did not have that idea or else he would have actually done it. So, making him Hand and sharing his throne with him it was. These two are so perfect. <3

Re: Aegon I./Orys Baratheon

[identity profile] outboxed.livejournal.com 2013-01-24 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Damn, you're cunning. (;

And, yeah, if Aegon wanted to marry get another of his siblings, he would have. As it was, he gave Orys something different & better, showing how much he loved and trusted him and, yes, perfectttt. <3

The Tully Girl Who Mattered 1/2

[identity profile] fauxkaren.livejournal.com 2013-01-24 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
At last, Lysa had won something. She was going to King’s Landing to join her husband who would be the Hand of the King. Jon Arryn was neither as young nor as good looking as her sister’s husband, but Lysa was going to be one of the most important ladies in Westeros, second only to the queen. Catelyn, however, was being sent to the North were she would reign as lady over a frozen and remote castle. No one of consequence would care who Catelyn Stark was or what she thought. Finally, Lysa was going to be the Tully girl who mattered- if not in the eyes of her family, then in the eyes of Westeros.

The only other time that Lysa had felt like she mattered as much as her sister was when she was still a girl and her mother was alive. In those idyllic days Mother would praise Catelyn’s tiny stitches in her embroidery, but then would spend just as much time admiring how lovely Lysa looked in her new frock and how neat Lysa’s letters were, even though she was just learning how to form them. After her mother’s death, nothing was the same. Father withdrew into himself and couldn’t spare a thought for any of his children for many months.

When Hoster Tully emerged from his grief, he saw how his eldest daughter had ensured the smooth running of Riverrun (as much as any nine year old could) in the absence of her parents. From then on Father seemed to rely on Cat while barely giving Lysa a second glance. He made sure that the servants knew to go to Catelyn when they had questions about household affairs. By the time she was twelve Catelyn had essentially taken over as Lady of Riverrun, managing the household efficiently and with grace, keeping accounts in order and welcoming the bannermen who came to Riverrun. As they grew older, Lysa saw how their father would summon Cat to his chambers to discuss important manners and how he would ask her for her advice on how best to handle disputes between his bannermen. Lysa doubted that her father remembered that she existed except when she was in his presence. He didn’t even appear to be spending much time looking for a suitable marriage for her.

Lysa didn’t want Brandon Stark, but she resented the fact that Father had arranged such a good match for her sister. Brandon Stark would be Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North one day. He was handsome and charming, like a hero from the songs, and he always had a smile on his lips and a laugh behind his eyes. It was not that Lysa wanted to marry Brandon Stark- no, she would never want anyone other than her dear Petyr. She just wished her father had cared about her enough to look for an equally impressive match for her. Yes, in all things Catelyn was the priority while Lysa remained an afterthought.

Even Edmure seemed to prefer Cat’s company to her own. After their mother died, he clung to Catelyn skirts and followed her around everywhere. As children the three Tully siblings were thick as thieves and spent many a happy afternoon playing by the river and running through the godswood. Lysa never doubted that her brother loved her, but he still would run to Catelyn with every little hurt. When he was sick, it was Catelyn whose name he’d cry. When he accomplished something in the training yard or in the maester’s lessons, it was Catelyn whom he would seek out to share in his triumph.

The Tully Girl Who Mattered 2/2

[identity profile] fauxkaren.livejournal.com 2013-01-24 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Petyr’s preference for Catelyn hurt the most because Catelyn didn’t even see it while it was so painfully obvious to Lysa. When they played at kissing in the godswood, it seemed like Petyr was always so eager for Catelyn to take her turn at kissing him while he barely seemed to care when it was Lysa’s turn. Petyr would always ask Catelyn to dance first when there was feasting in the Great Hall which to most would appear to be Catelyn receiving the proper respect she was due as the eldest daughter, but Lysa could see the truth in Petyr’s eyes. After the nights that Lysa had spent in Petyr’s bed, she believed that Petyr’s affections had changed. She had given him her maidenhead. How could he not love her now?

Lysa was overjoyed when she discovered herself to be with child. It seemed as if she had finally won something over Catelyn. Lysa had won Petyr. Petyr had loved Cat first, but surely once he knew that she was carrying his child, he would love her more than he had ever loved Cat. For a brief happy moment, Lysa thought that she might at last have something that Cat did not. She would have Petyr’s child. She would be happily married and settled as mistress of her own household before her elder sister. But Lysa was denied even that small victory.

That loss hurt all the more when Catelyn had her son while Lysa’s marriage proved fruitless. Lysa and Catelyn had only had a fortnight with their husbands, but Catelyn had succeeded in providing an heir for her husband while Lysa remained childless. The wound grew as Lysa observed how naturally Cat seemed to take to motherhood. Seeing Cat with Robb, comforting him and singing to him, when Lysa had been robbed of her child with Petyr was like a dagger in the heart.

The worst part of it all was that Catelyn seemed so unaware of this competition that existed between them. She won everything so effortlessly. It was as if Lysa was the only one who knew the truth of the matter- that they were rivals, no matter how much they loved each other. How could they be anything other than rivals- two sisters so close in age?

None of that seemed to matter now. Lysa and Catelyn had reached the inn at the crossroads. From here Catelyn would turn north and go to join her husband at Winterfell while Lysa would journey south to her husband at King’s Landing. Here at the crossroads, Lysa was able to put aside the rivalry of the past and embrace her sister in a fond farewell, secure in the knowledge that in the end, Lysa would be the Tully girl that mattered. She would be the Tully girl that people remembered.

Gen!fic Sandor and Arya

I don't think I've ever requested anything on the comment!meme before so hopefully I'm doing this right...

Am seeking a gen!Fic about Sandor and Arya, their 'adventures' together...Serious, humorous, angst whatever works just keep it gen please ^^

I need me some Sandor the wolf-cub sitter and Arya the human burrito XD

Davos/fem!Stannis

(Anonymous) 2013-01-25 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
AU where Davos is either unmarried or a widower. After Davos is knighted, Robert decides that it's not enough and gives him the traditional hero's reward of land and marriage to the princess he rescued. Robert's plain, dour sister Alannys is, unfortunately, the nearest thing he has. Strangely, however, neither his sister nor the smuggler seem to mind.
Bonus points for:
- Robert being unreasonably pissed off by how well Davos and fem!Stannis have turned out compared to him and Cersei.

I ranted about this very topic in a meta conversation some years ago. Stannis married Selyse Florent well after Robert was king, so why the hell would he have wed the daughter of a bannerman instead of the daughter of a great house as the King's brother (and heir until Robert had sons)? I think this AU makes so much sense, and need it in my life.

Catelyn

(Anonymous) 2013-01-25 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
AU: Ned dies during the Greyjoy Rebellion. How does Catelyn rule the North until Robb is of age? How does she deal with her grief? Would the Stark children be any different if raised by Catelyn alone? What happens to Jon? What happens after Jon Arryn's death?

Stannis

[identity profile] linndechir.livejournal.com 2013-01-25 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
I've seen this prompt elsewhere and I really liked it: any happy fic in which Stannis gets something he wants - Storm's End, the Iron Throne, a son, his brothers' love and/or respect, Davos, Jon ... Can be AU or not, just something happy for him.
